Each year, the UC PGSA asks students to come forward and talk about their research so they can have practice public speaking and prepare for conferences and talks.
Students in all years are welcome, so long as they are currently working on a thesis/dissertation.

We also have a poster session, where students can submit posters that they have made.

Each presentation will be judged, and those with the highest scores will be in to win the following:

Best Presentation - $400
Runner-up Presentation - $300
Honorary Mention - $200

Judged by highest scores

Best Newcomer - $250

awarded to someone in their first year of their PhD or the first 6months of their Masters Thesis

UC PGSA People's Choice - $100

based on attendee votes for most entertaining

Best Overall - $200
Honorary Mention - $100

We're also on the lookout for judges…
